Many engineers have to deal with distributed systems to scale platforms. It’s often difficult to understand the overall system setup. Sometimes, it feels like you’re losing control over the communication patterns of your system components.
We can address this problem by applying Domain Driven Design, automation, and decoupling principles. It’s possible to design software that consists of loosely coupled parts that interact through simpler, “event-based” data streams. This way, we won’t reduce the complexity, but we can transfer some of it to the network layer.
